The Greater Boston Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization in New England and among the largest in the country. Based in their South Boston Yawkey Distribution Center, GBFB works with more than 600 partner agencies and direct distribution sites such as food pantries, soup kitchens, meal programs, and senior centers.
GBFB is a member of Feeding America, the nation's largest hunger-relief organization. Committed to increase their food distribution to provide three meals a day to every person in need in Eastern Massachusetts, they distributed 96m meals in 2020.
